Antoinette Double Late variety of Tulips ready to be plucked bulb, stem and bloom for floral CSAs

Our Flowers:

We grow our flowers from seed, bulb, corms & plugs. This gives us better control over when they bloom due to the mixed types of growing forms. Our floral seeds come from the same sources as our vegetable seeds. Some examples of flowers we provide in our bouquets are as follows:

Tulips, Lisianthus, Peonies, Dahlias, Snapdragons, Dianthus, Zinnias, Anemones, Ranunculus, Calendulas, Rudbeckia, Sunflowers, Roses, Amaranth, Baby’s Breath, Bachelor Button’, Black Eyed Susans, Gomprenia, Celosia, China Aster, Poppy’s, Cosmos, Iris, Hollyhocks, Lily’s, Honeywort, Eucalyptus, Globe Amaranth, Love in a Mist, Marigold’s, White Finch Lace, Queen’s Anne’s Lace, Phlox, Stock, Strawflowers, Sweet Pea, Yarrow, Tickseed, wild grasses as well as a variety of wildflowers and various perennials.

Our CSA Bouquets:

Farm-fresh and hand-selected, you may enjoy a large, eye-catching bouquet weekly or biweekly. Each bouquet is handcrafted: indulging in a melange of traditional, romantic, and whimsical designs to fully capture the idyllic beauty of each season. You also have the satisfaction of knowing your bouquet was grown right here in Madison County, using sustainable and organic practices* to deliver the highest quality. There is limited availability for each CSA so we may ensure the highest quality products while ensuring we are satisfying our customers.

Whether it’s our bi-weekly, four week flower CSA or Tulip CSA, your bouquet will be a hand-wrapped flush of color that represents that seasons beauty.

PLEASE NOTE: Our tulip CSA is the only option this year for West Des Moines pickup.
We are no longer offering the 9 or 18 week flower nor veggie CSA for WDM pickup.

Our Produce:

We live by the seeds of our plants. Our seeds come from organic and heirloom sources such as Johnny’s Seeds, Baker Creek Seed Company, Seed Saver’s Exchange, High Mowing Organic Seeds, Territorial Seed Company, and a variety of our own seeds saved from the prior year’s harvest. Each box will provide approximately enough vegetables for a two to three-person family for one week. We will in no way provide enough veggies weekly for you to can in large quantities. Examples of traditionally seasonal items (not guaranteed)that may be included in your veggie box as follows:

Spring
Microgreens, Basil, Rosemary, Cilantro, Arugula, Asparagus, Rhubarb, Broccoli, Garlic, Kale, Radishes, Spinach, Turnips, Peas, Swiss Chard, Spinach & Salad Mixes.

Summer
Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Honeydew, Microgreens, Blueberries, Basil, Rosemary, Cilantro, Squash, Zucchini, Beans, Carrots, Eggplant, Green Peppers, Hot Peppers, Purple/White Kohlrabi, Okra, Swiss Chard, Tomatoes, Cabbage, Turnips, Tomatoes, & Greens.

Please note - We provide season vegetables primarily grown without a greenhouse. If weather takes a toll on produce or flowers which prevents us from providing a box or bouquet for that week, we may refund you one week’s box or bouquet costs based on the item you already purchased at our discretion.

Extra Add-ins:
We add additional items sourced from local farmers and businesses to your Veggie CSA boxes randomly throughout the season to keep things interesting.

Items may include, but not guaranteed:
* Eggs, Sweet Corn, Homemade Soap, Coffee, Local Honey, Wine, Etc *

Following organic practices*, we grow seasonal fruits and vegetables to suit a varied palate. We use crop rotation as well as succession planting to provide a bountiful plethora of produce for your needs. Limited availability so we can provide high quality products and keep our customers satisfied.

You will receive your veggies in a corrugated wax veggie box weekly or bi-weekly based upon your purchase. We reuse the CSA boxes so that we can lessen our impact on the environment. We will have extra boxes in case you forget. Don’t throw your boxes away!
