Featured tonight with Farmer Clint: Pegasus the (not so flighty) pumpkin. His total OTT (ask Clint what that stands for) measurements are as follows: 195 inches with an 83.5 inch circumference and an estimated weight of 171 pounds.
Phyllis and Connie are set up and waiting at the Winterset Market on the square, 8-12. We have more gorgeous bouquets than last week and yummy fresh veggies. Farmer Clint and I unfortunately had prior engagements and couldn't attend today's activity.
You can’t beat a weekend at the @iowastatefair So much food to eat and so little time; especially when you lose your wallet 20ft inside the entrance gate (insert crying & laughing emoji). We went up with my (@cedarshakefarmer ) family as both my parent’s bdays & anniversary are in Aug.
The worse part upfront about losing my wallet is the ID’s to include wife’s ID were both in there; not to mention my military ID, debit/credit cards & nearly $200 in cash (planned to buy some early Christmas presents). I think my faith in humanity was restored tho as within 40 mins a nice couple picked up my wallet and turned it in to the lost & found with all the cash in it!! We all couldn’t believe it! Guess you could say God does make genuine good people in this world still!! What a fair experience! I don’t recommend it haha! A many thanks to the Winterset police dispatch to reaching out and finding me on social media, and come to find out the actual peeps who picked up my wallet dm’d my wife but we never saw it till late last night. Haha! What a day! #prayer #crazynice #iowastatefair #lostandfound #farmersmarket #statefair #faith #humanity #iowa @desmoinespolice @iowastatepatrol #nicepeople #lostwallet
We're all ready at the Winterset market! Many, many goodies! A couple more rugs were made, and there are buckets of sunflowers.
The caption speaks for itself. We’re here from 8-noon. See you here! Monthly CSA pickups are today as well.
From seed to 58” in diameter. Growing fast every day. Crazy how fast this Haist 2027 #monsterpumpkin is growing! Wish the May rain wouldn’t have held us back but can’t control the weather without a greenhouse! #iowa #pumpkin #pumpkinspice
When the sunflower is bigger than you are AND blocking the tomatoes' light, it has to go.
Cotton candy rug headed to the market this weekend! Seeley also decided Farmer Clint was too close to his bubble.
I'm loving the orlaya white finch after the flowers are done. It has such a fun texture!
I'm really feeling this color combo. Too bad I can't keep all the rugs I knot.
Ta da! Slowly, but surely the rugs are being restocked. I'm in all sorts of love with this teal and vintage yellowly green combo.
Farmer Clint is ready for you at the Van Meter Farmer's Market. There are tomatoes and flowers and our friends @pammelparkcoffee are here with delicious cold brew. Live music and tacos as well!
It's a good day to praise the Lord and make bouquets.
Hey hey! We are here at the Winterset Farmer's Market and everything is going fast! If you're wanting a bouquet or veggies or blueberries, hurry up and see us.
Apologies for the non- insta worthy photos. It's incredibly warm out at the Van Meter market today- 5-8pm at the Vet's Center in Van Meter. Buuut we have fresh veggies, fresh cut flowers, annnd @theoutsidescoop is here, serving delicious and cold ice cream. So grab a cone for you and a bouquet for your home.
Farmer Clint and his mom Phyllis are at the Winterset Farmer's Market until noon today. There are so many goodies- Chinese cabbage, blueberries, salad mix, fresh bouquets, and more.
I spy a bouquet helper. Apparently Seeley thinks Mom and Farmer Clint need some help! We're (Clint) going to have a plethora of bouquets that'll need a good home tomorrow. I'm going to take a rain check on tomorrow since my second to last chemo was yesterday. Whoop whoop!
We're here at the Winterset Market from 8-12. So much produce and gorgeous bouquets, it'll make your head spin. Insta wouldn't let me post a picture of the entire amaranth Green Tails, but it's a good two feet!
Happy fourth of July!! This may be my favourite holiday- mainly because like other fire cracker babies, I firmly believe the nation celebrates my birthday.. and fireworks! I whipped out 8 little cuties for our little shindig today, because why not. Now off to do some last minute cleaning.
I just had to take a picture of what I saw from my kitchen this morning. I may plant those ruffled hollyhocks aound the entire perimeter of my she shed fence as well- I just can't get enough😍. Farmer Clint and I made it home safe and sound yesterday, with a pit stop at Mansfield, MO to see Baker Creek Seeds. I think we're making it a yearly thing. There's a small 1800s style village and a restaurant with vegan food!!!! I told Clint just to leave me there and he could come visit.
